Quinn Cement has received delivery of five new Feldbinder triaxle cement tankers as part of Quinn Building Products' Fleet and Mobile Plant Replenishment Programme in Northern Ireland. Quinn Cement fined GBP2000 or emissions breach

Quinn Cement was fined GBP2000 (US$2554), having pleaded guilty to failing to limit gas emissions from its Ballyconnell plant in Ireland. The breach ocurred between 2018-19 and was monitored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to have surpassed permitted levels for Hydrogen Chloride release. Quinn Industrial Holdings (QIH) has taken delivery of 10 new trucks and a range of heavy mobile plant machinery. Six of the new trucks are bound for Quinn Cement. Two eight-wheel rigid tippers will be used across Quinn Quarries and Tarmac divisions. Quinn Industrial Holdings (QIH) has recorded a 7.4 per cent YoY increase in turnover to EUR209m for the full-year 2017 period. EBITDA saw a significant improvement of 31 per cent, from EUR18.2m to EUR23.9m. Quinn Cement has establised a new cement export hub in Warrenpoint Harbour in Co Down, Ireland, in a GBP2.5m (EUR2.9m) investment.
